The McKenzie bell rings at 8:55 am. By this time, you should be in your seat completing the morning work displayed
on the overhead and have checked in. Checking in means putting the correct marker for lunch count in your labeled pocket
on the bulletin board next to the door. Homework should be put in the Turn In bin with your name clearly written
at the top. If you have not done homework that is due, you will have to come in during the lunch recess to complete it.
I expect my students to behave respectfully. Raise your hand to speak and wait for me to call on you. If you wish to
visit the restroom, use the sign language sign for "toilet" and I will let you leave. When we walk in the hallways, please
form a single-file line and refrain from talking.
Our classroom will have a zero-tolerance policy for bullying. At the start of the year I will hand out the McKenzie Kids
Care booklet. You will sign the last page, which I will keep on file in the room. One warning will result in no recess, however,
depending upon the seriousness of the situation I may accompany you to the principal's office.
At the end of the day, I will dismiss you by table clusters. Remember to put your chair up so the custodians can vacuum
easily.
